It's about time I fill in this About Me page.

My name is Abby. That's me over there to the right, with the camera. I'm a nerd, a geek, a dork, whatever vocabulary you prefer.

I am a graduate from the University of Washington, with a degree in Communication. Currently I do freelance photography  (wedding, maternity, portraits, yadda yadda), as well as concert photography for the Seattle music blog Back Beat Seattle. I love music and I love photography, so marrying them together is the ultimate dream of mine. It's awesome that I get to do this as a hobby for a blog, but it's definitely not the most lucrative profession (hence where the wedding photography comes in). 

I'm a geek about many things - music, movies, television, books, and the good card game now and then. But on top of all that geekiness is a rather girly exterior. I like pink lipstick, and Dance Dance Revolution. I like leather shoes, and old western films. I like being an anomaly. It makes life more fun. It gives life more depth.

On this here blog, I'll be expressing my somewhat cliche "girlie" side. In the last couple of years, I've gotten really interested in makeup through YouTube beauty gurus and beauty blogs. As well as makeup, I've definitely become more fashionable and fashion-forward. 

I personally like makeup and fashion as an outlet because I'm able to be creative every day without having to make a big deal out of it. I consider myself a creative person, but I've always been one that captures creativity rather than making things organically. With fashion I'm able to do that. I can't sew together a skirt to save my life, but I can pair a denim skirt with a funky sweater like it's nobody's business.
